Hello, I’m Nilay Cinar. I made this painting when I was 7 years old. It’s been a long time since then but I’m still painting with the same enthusiasm, in Istanbul, on my little table at home. Learning and trying to improve myself day by day.

After graduating from Istanbul Bilgi University Advertising Department in 2013, I started working as a Strategist. I had the opportunity to work with global brands in various network agencies.

As I shared my daily sketchbook on Instagram, it started to attract people’s attention over time. They wanted to see themselves as a part of this universe that I created and then I started getting commissions. And my story has begun. I really care about making artworks in which emotions come to the fore rather than similarity and reality. Watercolor, crayons and gouache are the materials I use frequently. I also work on digital illustrations.

Currently, as a freelance illustrator, I’m working with brands, bespoke works and selling paintings, postcards etc. I also share my knowhow with lessons and group workshops with many people who want to learn watercolor.
